New Year's Eve Supper

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!!   The weather outside may have been 30 below zero, but we were warmed by a roaring fire, some nice chardonnay, and we snuggled around the table and dined by candlelight.

Celebrating New Year's Eve together has been a tradition for 30 years.

The table was set in such a festive manner, using the new coasters from mother-in-law Barbara to highlight the smoked glass champagne flutes.

These marabou feathered name card holders were too much to resist - I had to have them!!  They say "celebrate", "cheers", and "salute" in black glitter.  Perfect for a New Year's Eve table.

They just make me smile.

Atop the Serena Bass plate and salad plate were the triple napkins - a silver/gray cotton inside, wrapped in a wine colored sheer, covered with the silver metallic with beaded trim.  Posh, indeed.

We had to use these placemats last night, they are an icy blue with gobs of baubles.  Festive.

The merlot colored dinner plates are so pretty on top of the Ralph Lauren tablecloth!
