New Year's Day Brunch

What could be better than Eggs Benedict for New Year's Day brunch?  Hint: nothing.
While Kimberly was cooking, I set the kitchen counter for our informal brunch.  Santa was very, very good to A Graceful Table this year, and he brought some chicken plates for us to use, and well, since we were eating eggs.......
We started with the cute chicken placemats.

Topped the placemats with these rustic chargers by Certified International

Then added these fabulous chicken plates we found at Home Goods - each plate has a different chicken design.

Next came the bandana napkins and pewter chicken napkin rings
and the bandana plates to compliment the napkins and the plate's border
and finally, the Bloody Mary glass.

Todd and Kim mixing up the Bloody Marys

What a brunch!  Eggs Benedict with asparagus, hash browns, and broiled grapefruit.  If you've never tried it, please do!  Cut the grapefruit in half, sprinkle with brown sugar and put under the broiler for a few minutes.  My grandma Naoma used to make this for my sister and I, so this was such a nice reminder of her.

The brunch bunch.  Bon Apetit!!
