The Merriest Christmas

We joined up to celebrate Christmas
at the Ponderosa and we......

......walked into a winter wonderland!
A burlap and plaid runner made it earthy and echoed the edges of the dinner plates.
The native greenery from the forest around us, in combination with
frosted blue berries and garland, brought out the
colors of the Ralph Lauren tablecloth.

Kimberly used natural and faux to create a
centerpiece that literally glowed.

The table was set for the four of us in
a style that could only be called rustic elegance.

Rattan chargers were topped with a second charger rimmed in
natural horn.  A plaid dinner plate played host
to a 222 Fifth deer salad plate and
a seasonally fabulous Ralph Lauren napkin.

Wood handled flatware
brought in more of the earthy and rustic feel.

Arthur Court Elk Antler serveware
complimented the forest in winter theme...

....as did the silver stags in the centerpiece.

Cute little woodland birds joined us for the festivities.
Garnet colored Artland Iris water goblets with
silvery wine glasses.

But, aren't you curious about the food?
We had a stuffed tenderloin of beef......
We butterflied open the tenderloin,

stuffed it with blue cheese. bacon, and sauteed spinach,
rolled it up like a jelly roll and tied it with butcher's twine.

Roasted butternut squash with fresh thyme.

We also enjoyed an outrageously delicious salad of cubed winter squash
atop butter lettuce leaves and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.

We made the vinaigrette using our favorite oil and vinegar combo.....
Persian Lime olive oil with Peach Balsamic vinegar from
EVOO marketplace in Denver, Colorado.

You will truly want to thank us for this recommendation.

Tiny twice baked potatoes topped with broccoli, onion, and cheese ride shotgun
with the cauliflower 'steaks' with a red pepper-sage sauce.

Kimboo prepping the grasshoppers for our
after-drinner dinks.

The hostess with the mostess....

....and my sweet Santo, patiently awaiting the big event.

Happy Holidays to all!!!
