Holiday Mantle

Now that I've put away the fall and Thanksgiving decorations,
Christmas decorating is in full swing.

I always start with the mantel, and whatever I decide
to do here becomes the central theme of the year
and will be echoed around the house.

The lighted grape vine globes really sparkle.
They are on a timer so I don't have to do anything but enjoy them.

Glittery silver deer are nestled in the pine garland.

Love the flocked twig garlands - a recent score from a
shopping trip in Minneapolis with Kimberly.

  1. I'm not in full swing, but I'm gently moving into the next season. Your mantel is one of the prettiest I've seen. It can take you through winter. That looks to be a magnificent room.

  2. Beautiful mantle!! I was thinking the same thing as Sarah--this is definitely a mantle that could stay up until spring. Gorgeous winter season decor. Loving those globes. I live in the Minneapolis area, could you share your sources for the mantle. I would love to use lit globes in my bay window.

    1. Hi Diane! The globes are Smith and Hawkin, (now defunct) but Target has a line of SH goods, I believe.

  3. Whoa! That is some impressive mantle. Having something like this in my home would make me feel as if I were staying in a north-woods lodge.
