Pumpkins after Halloween are often destined
for the compost pile.
A sweet friend gave me a box full, and I knew exactly
what I was going to do.....
a centerpiece to enjoy until the table
is set for the Thanksgiving meal!
I started by painting the stems with metallic spray paint, and
they sat in the sun to dry for about a half an hour.
The metallic stems were then wrapped in masking tape and
painted with white chalkboard paint.
Bittersweet vine from my fence intertwined
between the pumpkins and the silver candelabra with silver candles.
Grapevine napkin rings became candle rings.
Easy, Pottery Barn inspired centerpiece.
Gracie,
