On a hot summer day, isn't it wonderful
to spend some time with great friends?
We did just that.......
We've been busy catching up with posts on the blog,
and doing the State Fair post reminded me
that we have gotten a lot of mileage out of our
red and white checked tablecloths this summer.
You can see those posts
and
Red checkered tablecloth juxtaposed with Pottery Barn Limes
runner and napkins.
Jute place mats and red pottery chargers provide the backdrop
for these fantastic geranium-motif oversized dinner plates.
Floral, vegetal, summery, and fun.
Must. Resist. Buying. More. Pitchers. But could not walk away from this one!
Heirloom 'forellenschuss' lettuce - (speckled trout back in German)
and
organic arugula from the Ely Farmers' Market.....
with onions, macadamia nuts, hearts of palm, and mango,
all topped with grilled chicken breast and a dusting of Parmesan cheese.
Geranium blossoms off of the patio and daisies from the yard for a centerpiece....
an easy and enjoyable afternoon.
