Celebrating Sisters Tea Party

Are you lucky enough to have a sister?
Then, you are lucky enough.
If you have a multi-generational group of sisters,
what else to do but......
Host a Sisters' Tea Party!!

It started out with this invitation on everyone's pillow the evening before.

The ladies all woke up to a counter full of crafts, flowers, feathers, fabric, ribbons
and bows to decorate their hats to echo their own personality and style.

These ladies really got down to the task and
created some outlandishly gorgeous headwear.

 Marge's daughter in law, Liz.

 Sister Marge, and
her granddaughters.
Olivia and Vivian.

 Sister Julie

 Sister Bo

Hostess Kimberly with the little sisters

Sister Jeanne (and Kimberly's Mother in Law)
and Julie at the table.

And then, there was the FOOD!

Smoked salmon and cucumbers on star shaped pumpernickel toasts.

Puff pastry filled with chicken salad with red grapes,
and bite-sized tomato sandwiches.

Cream cheese tarts in two variations:
fresh seasonal fruit and pecan praline.

 Twelve different types of dessert.

A bird's eye view of the table.

 Napkins folded to represent roses.

A medley of tea cups on a candlestick,
filled with water and floating candles.

  Handmade scones and clotted cream.

They're never too young to start them out tablescaping!

  1. Fantastic tea party!! The hats are simply amazing. Every hat style is great. Will have this hat idea in my tea party too that will be arranged at San Francisco venues. Very happy to know this idea. Thanks for this great post.
