Summer Supper

Summer entertaining is the BEST.

Everything is so full, fresh, and delicious, that it makes the table look much better.

Recently, I did a fun little tablescape when my parents were visiting us.
It started out with Pfaltzgraff 'Naturewood' placemats and glassware.

I then added white-washed wicker chargers, and off white plates with a rustic finish.

Salad plates are by Pottery Barn, love the organic feel to this stack of dishes!
I finished the setting with rusted watering can napkin rings and a
hydrangea napkin from a Martha Stewart collection.
The green flatware is from Home Goods.

The cute garden theme of the napkin rings is echoed by the
Pfaltzgraff 'Naturewood' glasses and stemware.

Tatami mat styled runner with watering can candle holders from
Pier One, and a flowery garland from sis-in-law, Glenna.

Fresh flowers from the yard -- I always like to
use what nature provides and follow the seasons with food
and flowers.

Dilled carrots with Maldon sea salt.

Fresh heirloom tomatoes from the garden with
Pesto Perpetuo basil, a non-flowering, culinary type.

Insalata Caprese with fresh mozzerella cheese, tomatoes, basil, olive oil,
balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper
Shish kebab with red onions, red bell pepper, pineapple, and mushrooms.

Bon Apetit!
