Galpal Thea and I hosted a springtime garden party for
12 women to celebrate our group and our friendship.
It was a rather informal affair, with Mason jars for beverages, and
a light offering of snacks.
The centerpiece was 12 organic Italian Flat Leaved Parsley
plants grown by Gracie's Plant Works (that's me!)
and my ubiquitous floral garland from Glenna.
To compliment the garden theme, we used miniature straw hats as place cards,
and painted metal flower napkin rings.
Nothing but floral napkins would do for this party, so we
used these by Ralph Lauren.
At each place setting, there was a Farmers Market Cookbook for all,
because we all love to eat healthy, locally-sourced vegetables.
Dill butter with chevre to top Thea's brown bread
from Heidi Swanson's 101 Cookbooks
Home made hummus with violas as accents.
"Mostly Not Potato Salad", again from Heidi Swanson and her book
Super Natural Every Day. I can't say enough about this cookbook!!!
Lemons and cucumber slices floating in a punch bowl filled with water.
Iced tea with organic mint leaves.
We all enjoyed the luncheon as much as we enjoy each other's company!
