A Fall Luncheon for the Girls

Fall is the perfect time for a gardener to host a
ladies' luncheon.  I rounded up three of my
bestest pals, and put together a
light lunch for the four of us.

The menu was light and perfect for the four of us gals.

Hors d'oeuvres  of dry salami, giant seedless red grapes,
and an assortment of cheeses
from my sister's recent trip to Wisconsin.
Pumpkin colored Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage plates and
amber Artland Iris goblets for the appetizers.

Each place setting held a faux squash decoration atop
a vintage Bordallo Pinheiro leaf plate in burgundy.

Pottery Barn linen napkins added yet another pattern
to the tablescape, and tied the antiqued goldenrod plate with the
the persimmon colored dinner plate and leaf dish.
The wicker chargers added the botanical feel of
which I am so fond.

Pottery Barn leaf place card holders contained the fall bordered name cards.

A row of glittery pumpkins for a centerpiece, interspersed
with autumn leaves and orange mini candles.

The April Cornell tablecloth and the Manual Woodworkers runner
were the perfect background for the copper chargers.

An overview before my guests arrive.

The heartland grains salad with farro, blanched asparagus, Provolone, hearts of palm,
onion, and smoked chicken atop a bed of mixed greens and garnished
with shaved Parmesan cheese.
